How long does it take to custom tailor a clothing item?
It depends on the type of item being tailored and the complexity of the design, but we generally give a minimum of 7 working days.
You may pay 50% in advance and remaining on item collection.
Do I have to fully pay in advance for custom tailoring?
We are not licensed to sell fabrics, but can help in guiding you on the right quantity and where to buy the fabric from. We recommend the design selection is based on an image or a similar sample of your choice.

Does The Sewing Corner provide fabric and its own designs?
Dresses generally require 2-3 fittings depending on the complexity of the design; however for most other clothing items 1 fitting is enough.

We have not listed the pricing as we give quotes after examining the fabric and the design. As a reference point, our minimum pricing for shirts is Dhs 100, for pants with pockets Dhs 150 and for casual dresses Dhs 250.
Clothing Alterations
We normally request 2-3 days for 3 items of clothing or less. For larger orders or more complex work, we try not to exceed 7 working days.

Yes, urgent service is available. You can discuss the request with our staff, who will be happy to assist you for a nominal charge.
Do you offer urgent or same day service?

We recommend you try each item in one of our personal fitting rooms at the shop. This allows you to see clearly the alteration markings either pinned or chalk marked by our master tailor, in a full length mirror. Alternatively, if you own a perfectly fitted garment, we can also use that as a sample for your alterations.
How do I know that you have clearly understood the alteration work required?

We will try our level best to satisfy your requirement even if it means 1-2 free reworks. However there are minor instances, once clothing items is altered based on measurements and instructions taken at the time of order booking, it cannot be reworked to your satisfaction. In such cases, we will return the items.
What will happen if I am unhappy with the altered items?

We send SMS texts to inform you when the work is complete.

Our tailoring services cover abayas, kaftans, evening gowns, casual dresses, shalwar kameez, sari with fall and blouse, and many more. You can see some of our work in the Atelier section of our website or follow us on instagram.
